Trump Unhappy With Latest Fox Poll
U.S. President Donald Trump took to Twitter Thursday, voicing his unhappiness with the latest Fox News poll showing that most registered voters agree the president should be impeached.
The Fox News poll was released after House Democrats began an impeachment inquiry into whether or not the president engaged in Quid Pro Quo to have the Ukraine government investigate the former U.S. vice president, Joe Biden of any potential wrongdoing.
Biden is the top Democrat rival.
Trump tweeted, from the day he announced a run for the presidency, he never had a good Fox News poll, and their pollster sucks. He continued saying Fox News these days is far different from what it used to be. Trump said he dismissed Andrew Napolitano as Supreme Court Justice and it’s not been good since then. He even remarked about Shep Smith, who gave “Crooked Hillary” debate questions and was fired from CNN doesn’t even work for the U.S. anymore.
Just not the same anymore, but he finished off by saying, “Oh well, I’m President.”
51 percent of the people surveyed said they would like to see Trump impeached and removed from the office with another four percent saying they want him impeached but staying in office. 40 percent of those survey said they don’t support the impeachment process. Since July, impeachment support has increased nine support – an increase of 11 percent among Democrats, three percent among Independents and five percent among Republicans.
According to the poll, there has been an increase in impeachment among white evangelicals, rural white voters and white men with no college degree.
The poll also found that 66 percent of the voters feel Trump should never have asked a foreign leader to investigate a political opponent with only 25 percent saying it was OK.
The majority of those surveyed said the phone call that took place between Trump and the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on July 25 was impeachable at 43 percent, with 27 percent incongruous but not impeachable. 17 percent of those surveyed felt it was fine to do so.
11 percent of the voters feel Trump is getting exactly what he deserves (48 percent), with 37 percent saying the inquiry is just a measure to get him out.
Trump has been insistent that the Ukraine call was perfect.
Trump campaign rapid response director Andrew Clark said it’s not hard for a poll to get 51 percent impeachment when the media is polling more Democrats than Republicans.
