Paris Jackson Has Made No Official Statement About Leaving Neverland Documentary
Paris Jackson, the late Michael Jackson’s 20-year-old daughter, sent out a tweet to dismiss rumors she was making a statement about the HBO-aired Leaving Neverland documentary. According to the Gay Star News tweet, Paris believed her father was never guilty of the sex abuse claims.
Paris said, via tweet, that she has made no statements about the issues, especially with how it’s affecting her career. She said the Gay News Star was reaching, but commended them for not writing an aggressive article. Paris said she’s not near as serious about her life as much as others are.
Her tweets came after the documentary was aired Sunday and Monday – in two parts. The documentary details sexual abuse allegations against the late King of Pop with interviews from two accusers – Wade Robinson and James Safechuck.
Both men are married with their own sons. According to the men, they were 7 and 10 when Jackson began abusing them. Talking on camera, the boys talked about their first met Michael and became close to the pop star.
The documentary was met with an array of reactions – some people questioned the men’s honesty while others who supported them. The Jackson family has been very vocal about the Leaving Neverland documentary, but Paris has said little about the film.
HBO now faces a $100 million lawsuit from the Jackson estate, calling it “unvetted propaganda” and exploiting a man to be deemed innocent and no longer able to defend himself.
