LAPD To Search Famous Hefner Pad For Evidence Against Bill Cosby In Assault Matter
The Los Angeles Police Department looks to spend some time at Hugh Hefner’s Playboy Mansion in relation to the investigation of a California woman’s complaint that comedian and actor Bill Cosby allegedly molested her in 1974 while she was visiting the famous mansion and only 15.
Cops would like to speak with the estate’s employees and search the large complex for evidence despite the fact that four decades have went by since the “suspected” assault too place.
According the police department, the complainant Judy Huth along with her legal representation Gloria Allred, filed a report about the incident.
Charlie Beck, police chief for the LAPD, said detectives would look at every formal complaint of sexual assault against the comedian.
A spokeswoman with the department would not comment beyond the confirmation that there was indeed an open investigation into the matter.
In her lawsuit, Huth claims Cosby assaulted her sexually while she was inside the 22-room Playboy Mansion while she was not of legal age.
P.J. Masten, a former Playboy bunny, said she came forward with her claims against Cosby after hearing Huth’s story. According to Masten, the comedian drugged and raped her along with a number of other bunnies.
Huth, who is now 56, said she is filing a lawsuit because she’s learned within the last three years the impact the predatory attack has had on her.
Cosby’s camp claims Huth tried extorting him for $250,000 before she filed her lawsuit.
On Friday, Hugh Hefner, who has been a long-time friend of Cosby, said the mere thought of the allegation is saddening. He said he doesn’t tolerate the behavior, regardless of who the person being accused is.
