Infamous Rocker Calls Parkland Survivors Mushy-Brained
Rocker great Ted Nugent has called the Florida students who want and have called for gun control “mushy-brained children.” He said they have “no soul” by asking for stricter gun regulations. Nugent made the comments during the Joe Pags show, where he was a guest on the Friday show.
Nugent, 69, heavily defended the National Rifle Association where he is also an NRA board member. He said Parkland school shooting survivors should not place blame on the NRA. Nugent said the gun-control regulations they want are equal to spiritual suicide.
Nugent’s comments come on the same that several companies pulled their ads from Fox News personality Laura Ingraham’s show. The backlash comes after she mocked survivor David Hogg online. The companies that pulled their ads include Expedia, Hulu, Jenny Craig, Johnson & Johnson, Nestle, Nutrish, Office Depot, Paradise Island resort, StitchFix, The Atlantis, Trip Advisor and Wayfair.
Ingraham said she was going on vacation to celebrate the Easter holiday with family. A spokesperson with Fox News said the vacation was planned in advance – well before the Hogg tweet.
