Great Buzz Over NYC’s Holiday Season
A wonderful annual tradition in the “city that never sleeps”; New York’s annual holiday season just made itself felt as snow began to fall in the city streets. New York Holidays are extremely popular among tourist and is a cherished holiday for locals as the city comes to life with a wonderful and warm ambience radiating the Holiday Season. Along with this are various activities in entertainment, shopping, dining and so much more.
According to George Fertita, CEO of NYC and Company, these months are one of the best times to travel to the city. This is also the time of the year that the city receives on of its most number of local and foreign tourists. And it is the city’s tradition to welcome its visitors with opens it arm through different holiday activities and shopping spree offers.
The Holiday Season is officially commemorated by the city government with 84th annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade that takes place during the 25th of November. With soaring balloons, floats and of course, several Santa’s all around the street – it will be extremely difficult not to get into the Holiday spirit at all.
The opening parade usually starts of at 77th Street, down Central Park West, past the Columbus Circle and will turn east toward Seventh Avenue continuing along 42nd Street. It turns goes along 6th Avenue to 34th Street and finally ends at the 7th Avenue.
During these times, world famous performers such as the Rockettes are also set to make schedules performances in the city. Tickets are now on sale starting at $45. Along with this, there are also several shows set in the world renowned Madison Square Garden. One of the main events is the holiday show, Wintuk, which is entering its fourth and final season for this year.
