Facebook Live Catches Young Arkansas Mother’s Death
A young mother in Arkansas was live-streaming on Facebook when she suddenly died.
According to KARK, Keiana Herndon of Camden was holding her son and on Facebook Live with many people watching her when she collapsed and died.
Her father, Richard Herndon, said his daughter didn’t mind using Facebook Live from time to time. However, the 25-year-old was live-streaming, singing and holding her son. She was talking to viewers when she suddenly fell and dropped the phone out of her hands.
Richard said he has yet to see the video. However, Jeffery, her uncle, has watched it and said he could hear Keiana trying to breathe with her son in the background screaming. While this was going on, more and more people were logging in to watch what was going on.
He said the views went from two to three to more than it should for a tragic live shot. A friend showed up 30 minutes after his niece had fallen to the floor.
Richard said he wishes somebody who had watched what was happening would have called the police and paramedics. He said it’s amazing that hardly anyone did anything upon hearing someone take their last breath.
It was Keiana’s final Facebook Live cast.
Richard said the loss of his daughter is one of the hardest things he’s ever had to deal with. He said it’s hard to deal with the pain, especially with her two kids being so young.
The state crime lab is attempting to learn why Herndon died. According to Keiana’s family, she suffered from thyroid problems. Police do not suspect foul play.
