Disfigured 3-Year-Old Girl Asked To Leave Mississippi KFC, Terrifying Other Customers With Her Face

A three-year-old Mississippi girl was asked to leave a Jackson, Miss. KFC in early June because the little girl’s scars were frightening the other customers.

The KFC employee told the family that they had to leave because Victoria’s face was a disruption to their restaurant’s customers. The little girl’s grandmother Kelly Mullins said her granddaughter knew what that meant.  They had only stopped at the Jackson KFC for some mashed potatoes.

In April, Victoria was attacked by three pit bulls while at the home of her grandfather, Donald Mullins – Kelly Mullin’s ex-husband. Donald, in an effort to save Victoria’s life, shot two of the dogs, killing them. The third was euthanized. Both the grandfather and his girlfriend have been arrested on child-endangerment charges.

Kenneth Lewis, Simpson County sheriff, said Donald had 10 pit bulls in his possession when the attack happened. He called it the worst pit bull attack he’d ever seen.

The attack has made it nearly impossible for the girl to swallow. Mullins said her face is paralyzed on the right side and she faces tons of surgeries.  She said Victoria refuses to look in the mirror and doesn’t even want to get out of the car when they go to the store.  At three years old, Mullins said, she’s embarrassed at the way she looks.

Mullins said being asked to leave the KFC made the girl cry.  She said her granddaughter is just three and is already being discriminated against for being different – scarred.

KFC said it was looking into the issue, taking the matter seriously and will take the appropriate action at the offending restaurant once everything has been revealed in what happened. KFC said it was dedicated to doing something for the little girl and her family.

Victoria’s story went viral after a Facebook page was created in April to give friends updates on how she was recovering. Since that time, she’s gained more than 30,000 likes – mainly from her KFC experience. KFC did respond to the issue on Facebook the very next day, saying they had a zero tolerance policy for disrespectful team members and their behavior.

$20,000 has been raised so far after the set-up of a donation page to help the family pay for Victoria’s medical bills.

  1. You need to learn some journalism chops. “Allegedly” “According to the child’s grandmother” etc.

None of this has been proven.
