TLC Cancels “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” On Reports Mother Is Dating Convicted Child Molester

TLC has cancelled fan favorite “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” after rumors surfaced that June “Mama June” Shannon is dating a convicted sex offender, despite her insistence to the contrary.

According to various reports, Shannon has been dating Mark McDaniel, who spent 10 years behind bars for aggravated child molestation of an eight-year-old relative. McDaniel had been released from Georgia prison in March and had to register as a sex offender.

The relative is supposedly Anna Marie Cardwell, Shannon’s oldest daughter. Cardwell, 20, permitted Radar Online to publish her name as being the one that was molested by McDaniel. The incident happened when Shannon was dating McDaniel when she was younger.

Cardwell said she believes her mother is currently dating McDaniel. Cardwell said she had only recently moved back into her mother’s home, living with her grandmother in Griffin until the debut of the show in 2012.

However, Shannon has adamantly denied being in a relationship with McDaniel; however, TLC did not believe Shannon’s claims. According to TMZ, the network has “compelling evidence” that the pair is indeed together even though Shannon claims she hasn’t seen McDaniel in 10 years.

TMZ has reportedly obtained a picture of the two lying in a hotel bed together. And, last month, she was reported to be trying to buy him a used vehicle. Shannon said the car purchase was for her daughter. TMZ said there were several pictures of the couple looking for a home in Hampton, Ga. last month as well as them holding hands while touring an empty home.

35-year-old Shannon denied these allegations of her dating McDaniel, saying her kids were her number one priority and wouldn’t put them in danger. She said she left McDaniel 10 years ago and would not go back to him.

According to various reports, both children’s services and law enforcement have been made aware of the situation.
