Fans of Breaking Bad Keep Memory of Walter White Alive
Fans of the recent AMC television series Breaking Bad continue to keep the memory of the show’s fictional character Walter White alive. A mock obituary and funeral along with a surge in Google searches for Halloween costumes themed after the show are all ways that fans are paying tribute to the series that showed its final episode on September 7 of this year.
Word of the mock funeral for Walter came out Saturday by Breaking Bad fan Jackamoe Buzzell. The funeral will be held in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the SunsetMemorial Park at 4:30 PM, Saturday, October 19.
The funeral will have no detail left overlooked with a mock box to hold Walter’s imaginary ashes, a gravestone, eulogy, and a reception afterward. The reception will be held following the funeral at 8:00 P.M. at Vernon’s Hidden Valley Steakhouse.
The money raised from the mock funeral will go to the Vernon’s Steakhouse Walter White Endowment Fund at the Albuquerque Community Foundation. The charity was established by Mr. Buzzell with the objective of helping the organization Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless (AHCH).
Mr. Buzzell was inspired to organize the funeral event after reading a mock obituary for Walter that was placed earlier in the Albuquerque newspaper.
The tributes to the show continue with news that Google searches for Breaking Bad Halloween costumes are estimated to be three times higher than in previous years. It is also projected that the character Walter White will dominate Halloween costumes worn at the various parties and events for this occasion.
