Honda Issues Another Recall For 200,000 Vehicles Around The Globe
Honda, a Japan-based vehicle manufacturer will recall more than 200,000 vehicles around the world because of problems with the shift-interlock apparatus.
The recall affects 59,000 units of Honda’s Odyssey minivans – 2012 and 2013; 128,000 units of the Honda CR-V SUVs – 2012 and 2013; and 17,500 units of the Acura RDX models – 2013.
Honda said when temperatures dip under the freezing mark, the part could cause the driver to shift the transmission from park without having to press the brake pedal.
There have been no injuries or damages associated with the problem.
The recall when begin in May 2013 and affected customers will be notified by mail.
Not too long ago, Honda issued a major recall over defective airbags made by Japanese manufacturer Takata for approximately 1.14 million vehicles with 107,000 units in Canada in a joint effort by Nissan, Honda and Toyota.
